Curved-back chair

Last summer I happened upon this sweet little chair in a local antique market.  It was encased in thick varnish from which I was able to free it pretty quickly using a Formby's product.  I was really torn between stain & finish and paint & wax... But once I found this fabulous grey-toned fabric I knew yellow was the only way to go.  

 Unfortunately, this paint was really thin.  I gave it 8 coats and the base wood still showed through. The streaking effect will be masked by the wax, but I won't be using this brand again.

 

 

I haven't applied the wax yet.  Still deciding what color...
